The planning commission shall consist of seven members, appointed by the board of
supervisors. Five members of the commission shall be representative of the five supervisorial
districts. Each supervisor may nominate one member for appointment by the board of
supervisors. The remaining two members shall be appointed and serve at large. All
vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner. The terms of
district members shall be four years and of at large members shall be for two years,
or when a successor is appointed, whichever occurs later. Members may be removed at
any time during their term by a majority vote of the board of supervisors. The terms
for all incumbent commissioners as of the date of adoption of the ordinance from which
this section derives, shall be shortened by five months, such that those terms scheduled
to expire on July 1, 2009 shall now expire on January 31, 2009 and those terms scheduled
to expire on July 1, 2011 shall now expire on January 31, 2011.;hn0; (Ord. 2731 §
