§ 2.40.030. Membership of commission.

  • Commission membership shall be calculated using the following equation based upon the number of Medi-Cal beneficiaries enrolled in the HealthPlan in the county: zero to twenty-five thousand equals one commissioner; twenty-five thousand to forty thousand equals two commissioners; forty thousand to fifty-five thousand equals three commissioners; fifty-five thousand and up equals four commissioners.

    The members appointed by the Marin County Board of Supervisors shall serve at the pleasure of the board and shall be selected as follows:

    (1)

    One member shall be either a member of the Marin County Board of Supervisors or an employee of the county of Marin (county representative).

    (2)

    Additional members will be from local health care providers that serve Medi-Cal beneficiaries such as hospitals, physicians, community clinics, health centers and the county department of health and human services. The director of health and human services or his/her designee will evaluate candidates and may make recommendations to the board of supervisors.
