If county departments have been notified by the peace conversion commission to refrain
from contracting with, or investing in, a company, in accordance with section 23.13.030 of this chapter, the county departments shall not thereafter do so without first
procuring an affidavit from such company. The affidavit shall request information
adequate for the peace conversion commission to determine whether the company is,
pursuant to the criteria in Marin County's Nuclear Free Zone Law, at the time it completes
the affidavit, a nuclear weapons contractor.
If the company does not provide a reply within forty-five days of the affidavit having
been sent to it, or if the company does provide a reply which contains information
that the commission determines, by majority vote of the commissioners, shows that
the company is, pursuant to the criteria in Marin County's Nuclear Free Zone Law,
a nuclear weapons contractor, the county shall not, except as provided for in this
chapter arrange to contract with, or invest in that company. (Ord. 3368 § 2, 2003:
